About

Carrie Nold has been with the Department of PA Studies since 2015 and she currently serves as an assistant professor and the Coordinator of Didactic Studies. She graduated from The Medical College of Georgia’s (now Georgia Regents University) Master of Physician Assistant Program.

She worked clinically at The Medical University of South Carolina in the Neuroscience Department working outpatient in neurology and aspects of rehabilitation medicine. During this time she co-managed the myasthenia gravis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and muscular dystrophy clinics while also diagnosing and treating other general neuromuscular diseases. She later completed an Academic Teaching Fellowship with the Physician Assistant Program at The Medical University of South Carolina and has also practiced clinically in psychiatry.

Nold is a nationally board certified Physician Assistant, and holds a license to practice as a Physician Assistant in both Georgia and South Carolina as well as current BLS and ACLS licensure. She has several publications and has served as a peer-reviewer for JAAPA.
