About
Dr. Freeman is professor, chair and course director of endocrinology in the Division of Endocrinology of the Department of Internal Medicine. He joined the faculty of PCOM in 1983 as an assistant professor. Dr. Freeman has served on the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association's Pennsylvania affiliate since 1992 and its Philadelphia affiliate since 1985. For 13 years, he has been chair of the subcommittee on metabolic diseases of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. His special projects include a role as professional representative to the lipid screening implementation program and participation in the international work-group in the clinical management of type II diabetes mellitus. In 1985, the American Diabetes Association honored Dr. Freeman with a service citation.
