Dr. Juan Michelle Martin joined the PCOM faculty in September of 2025 as an assistant professor. She has been a licensed clinician for over 18 years, with experience in orthopedics, pediatrics and pelvic floor rehab in adult and pediatric populations in both outpatient and acute care settings.
Dr. Martin graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine of New York Institute of Technology in 2007 with her doctorate of physical therapy and is currently pursuing her doctorate in health science. Her passions lie in perinatal care, sexual health and chronic pelvic pain conditions and she continues to be an advocate and heavily engaged in community oriented activities related to perinatal health both within Georgia and throughout the country.
Research interests
Dr. Martin is engaged in research focusing on the utilization of remote monitoring for improving outcomes in pregnant and postpartum populations as well as utilizing strength training as a tool to mitigate pelvic girdle dysfunction and other orthopedic conditions within the pregnant patient.
