About

Dr. Rekha R. Yesudas, an Associate Professor of Pharmacology, currently teaches medical pharmacology to student doctors at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine South Georgia campus. Her current investigation interests include cardiovascular and antiparasitic pharmacology.

Dr. Yesudas qualified lectureship based on the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lectureship from University Grants Commission, Government of India in 2000, and received junior and senior research fellowships from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India. She obtained MS, MPhil, and PhD degrees in physiology, histopathology, and parasitology from the University of Kerala, India, in 2005 and was an assistant professor in the Department of Zoology, Mar Ivanios College, in her hometown of Thiruvananthapuram, India. From 2006 to 2009, she completed postdoctoral research in pharmaceutical sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. From 2012 to 2016, she held human anatomy and physiology faculty positions at universities in Texas and New York. From 2016 to 2023, Dr. Yesudas served as a pharmacology faculty at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

During her career, Dr. Yesudas has received many teaching and research awards and promoted education abroad. She was a motivational speaker who promoted lifelong learning and rewarded academic excellence in schools and colleges of India. She is also a passionate humanitarian who assisted lonely and underprivileged elderly in India.
