Dr. Pulley began his career in emergency medical services while in college, graduate school and medical school with very active EMS agencies. He continued in emergency medicine through a residency at PCOM and Einstein. He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard during his medical training and was the Chief of Emergency Services with the 108th Combat Support Hospital.

Dr. Pulley practices emergency medicine full-time at Suburban Community Hospital and is a Pennsylvania EMS Physician, Medical Command Physician and the Medical Director for several EMS agencies and three national parks. He is also involved in critical incident stress management.

Dr. Pulley began teaching at PCOM while in residency and has been part of the PCOM faculty since becoming an attending. He completed a fellowship in Educational Leadership through the Costin Scholars program at Midwestern University. He also practices World Tang Soo Do Karate, Sin Moo Hapkido, and teaches Tactical Medicine.
