Abstract

The process of shared-decision making (SDM) in healthcare is this process by which information is shared between the patient and healthcare provider with the goal of arriving at a consensus decision regarding healthcare choices. While the method has been in existence for some time its primary uses have been in the healthcare decisions with higher degrees of potential use. In this presentation learners will learn about the framework of SDM and discuss means by which it can be implemented on a daily basis within Physical Therapy practice.
